Rochford Town Reserves Win Essex Saturday Junior Trophy

Rochford Town Reserves are the Essex Saturday Junior Trophy champions after a thrilling victory over Eversley Athletic at Brentwood Town FC on Friday 1st May 2026.

In a tense and exciting final, supported by GoCardless, the match finished 2-2 after 120 minutes of competitive football, before Rochford edged the victory 3-2 in a nail-biting penalty shootout.

The game, which kicked off at 7:45pm under the floodlights, showcased high-quality grassroots football from both sides. However, it was Rochford’s resilience and composure in the decisive penalty shootout that secured the silverware.

Delightful scenes followed the final whistle as the Rochford players celebrated wildly, lifting the trophy high in front of delighted supporters. The squad, proudly wearing their medals, posed for memorable photographs with the cup on the pitch, marking a fantastic achievement for the club.
