It is with great sadness that Rochford Parish Council announces the passing of former Chairman and long-standing Parish Councillor, Myra Weir BEM.
Myra dedicated many years of service to the Parish Council and to the communities of Rochford and Hawkwell. Her commitment to supporting residents and improving community life touched countless people over the years.
In recognition of her outstanding service to the Rochford Day Centre and the local community, Myra was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM), a fitting tribute to her dedication and selfless public service.
Myra will be remembered with great affection and gratitude for her kindness, hard work, and unwavering commitment to others. She will be greatly missed by members, officers, and the wider community.
