NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Mr John Emberson has ceased to be a member for Rochford South Ward and Ms Elaine Johns has ceased to be a member for Rochford North Ward and that two casual vacancies exist in the office of Councillors for the said Parish.
On receipt of a request for a By-election in writing from any TEN local government electors within the said Parish Ward, provided they notify the District Returning Officer at THE COUNCIL OFFICES, SOUTH STREET, ROCHFORD, ESSEX, SS4 1BW by 25th October 2023 (within14 working days), if no such request is received, the Parish Council will itself fill the vacancy by Co-option by the Parish Council.
